A Solar Symphony by Katie Jenkins is a radiant statement from a new generation of composers. Recorded with the London Symphony Orchestra at Abbey Road Studios, conducted by Ian Carleton Schaefer, the work symbolizes illumination, momentum, and possibility. As a young female composer in a historically male-dominated field, Jenkins is helping reshape the classical landscape, inspiring emerging composers to pursue bold, visionary voices.
"The piece really is about what's important to me right now—the planet, energy, what happens to us when we die—big topics that I think about. I wanted to try and pull all of these inspirations into a single piece of music" - Katie Jenkins
